Ontario Weather

The province of Ontario is the most populated province in Canada and it is located in the eastern central section of the country. There are three types of climate in Ontario weather: humid continental, humid sub-tropical and sub-arctic climate. The type of weather that you see when you are in Ontario depends on the city and the altitude as well as the latitude. The towns and cities to the north of the province will experience the coldest temperatures and the longest winters. In the south you will see a few severe thunderstorms during the summers and in fact the province boasts the title for the most lightning strikes each year in the country of Canada. Extreme weather can also be seen in the area but mostly in the form of cold temperatures.
